2023 Nissan Pathfinder vs. Toyota Highlander vs. Honda Pilot

Everywhere you look, you’ll find another new SUV on the market. Three of the top names in this category are the Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota Highlander, and Honda Pilot. All three have garnered rave reviews for what they have to offer, but you may wonder if one stands out from the rest.

In a Class of Its Own

All three models are loaded with amenities for safety and comfort. However, the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder gives you more space for front-row passengers with Best-in-Class front legroom at 44.3 inches. This model offers nearly four extra inches over either the Highlander or Pilot. Safety is important for all three brands, and they offer numerous systems to keep you and your passengers protected. Intelligent Forward Collision Warning is a class-exclusive system for the Pathfinder and is standard on all trims. Intelligent Around View Monitor is also class-exclusive and allows you to see all around the SUV.

Safety First

Besides the class-exclusive features of the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder, these SUVs provide a wide array of systems to protect you. The Pathfinder offers Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention as an option, but it’s not available on the Pilot or Highlander. Rear Automatic Braking is standard as well to help you avoid accidents when you’re backing up. Toyota has it available as an option, but it’s not available on the Pilot. The Nissan Pathfinder was awarded the Top Safety Pick+ for 2022, which gives drivers more peace of mind when they’re out on the road.

Comfort and Capability

Your passengers will enjoy a comfortable ride in all three of these SUVs. Everyone can stretch out and relax with plenty of space in every area. The Pathfinder comes in with a little more headroom in the third row than the Toyota model. Any of these three models will bring along a small RV or trailer with your favorite outdoor toys. The Nissan Pathfinder offers up to 6,000 pounds of towing, while the Toyota comes in at 5,000 pounds.

Getting Technical

All three brands offer the latest technology to keep you entertained and informed. Each model includes a touchscreen, with the Nissan sporting a nine-inch screen and the Honda with an eight-inch version. As you travel along, you can enjoy crystal-clear sounds from a quality audio system. The Nissan Pathfinder features 13 speakers, while Toyota has 11, and Honda only includes ten speakers. You can see important data on the vehicle with a fully digital dashboard display, which is available for the Pathfinder. This system isn’t available on the Pilot. Wireless Apple CarPlay is also available with Nissan but not for Toyota or Honda.

With so many choices available for a three-row SUV, you may feel overwhelmed at the options available. As you can see, the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder stands out from the crowd with everything you need for your journeys.
